Saturday, Sept. 24: Tipp Hill Music Fest and much more today

The fifth annual Tipp Hill Music Fest takes place today at Pass Arboretum (Avery Avenue near Burnet Park). Music starts at noon and runs to 7 p.m. Featured bands include White Picket Fence, Donna Colton and the Troublemakers, Causeway Giants, Sirsy, Tipp Hillbillies, The Z-Bones and more. Admission is free.

  • Ski Caz Jam 5 at Cazenovia Mountain (5251 Rathbun Rd., Cazenovia) featuring Ryan Montbleau Band, Sophistafunk, Dark Hollow, The Brethren, Lee Terrace, Andrew Greacen and more perform. Music starts at 3 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. Admission is $30 (free under 12).
  • Distant Drums in the Native Hills at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Road, Manlius), 10 - 5 p.m. -  $7 per carload.
  • Great Chocolate and Train Festival featuring Tom Chapin (1 p.m.) at the Hamilton Village Green (Route 12, Hamilton), 10 - 4 - Free admission.
  • The Hills Brothers at the Center for the Arts (72 S. Main St., Homer), 2 p.m. - Free admission.
  • Jazz ‘N Caz featuring the Cazenovia High School Vocal Ensemble, the Cazenovia High School Jazz Ensemble and the Cazenovia College Singers (4 p.m.) and Gap Mangione and the New Big Band (7:30 p.m.) at the Catherine Cummings Theatre (8 Lincklaen St., Cazenovia) - $10 suggested donation.
  • 51st Annual Great Syracuse Oktoberfest’ with Adam Barthalt Orchestra, Under The Gun, David and Paul Jackman ‘The Twin Magicians’ and Liverpool Community Band at CNY Regional Market, Syracuse (Noon to 11 p.m.)
  • John Dean at the United Church of Fayetteville’s Steeple Coffeehouse (310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville), 7:30 p.m. - $10 suggested donation.
