Saturday, Oct. 16: Jeffrey Pepper Rogers CD release party at Westcott CC

Jeffrey Pepper Rogers will be on hand at the Westcott Community Center (826 Euclid Ave.) for a party celebrating the release of his new CD, Dead to the Core. The show starts at 8 p.m. with Butternut Creek opening. Tickets are $10.

  • Local bands including The Coachmen, The Fab 570, Smokin’ and Big D and Friends perform as part of the Camp Goodwill/High Esteem Benefit at noon at Castaways Restaurant (916 County Route 37, Brewerton0. A $10/donation is requested.
  • The Big Break 2010 Semifinals featuring Amelia Is Dead, Victory Lap, The Black Lockets, Phantom Chemistry, Autumn Fire and Cry to the Blind take place at 7 p.m. at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.). Admission is $8.
  • Tenor Jon Fredric West and pianist Sar Shalom Strong perform at the First United Methodist Church (105 Genesee St., New Hartford) as part of the B Sharp Musical Club. The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $10.
  • Loren Barrigar is at Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church (126 S. Terry Road) at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.
  • Rusty Leyden performs at Hillview Community Church Coffeehouse, White Community Building 97382 O’Brien Road, Baldwinsville) at 7 p.m. Admission with a non-perishable food item for the Baldwinsville Food Pantry.
  • Paul Anka performs at the Stanley Theatre (261 Genesee St., Utica) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, $50, $60, and $80.
