Saturday, Sept. 18: Festivals galore in CNY today

This weekend offers music lovers a wide variety of festivals featuring live music, great food, and much more. Here's a list of all the great events taking place this last weekend of summer.
  • Festa Italiana in downtown Syracuse in front of City Hall - featuring Augie Collacchi (2 p.m.), Dance Centre North (3:15 p.m.), Bill Ali with Kathy Santangelo (4:30 p.m.), Jimmy Cavallo (6 p.m.), Rinaldo Toglia (8 p.m.), and Prime Time (9 p.m.)
  • Tipperary Hill Music Festival with Joe Driscoll, The Z-Bones, Tim Herron, The Tom Dooley Choraliers, Dusty Pas’Cal, Sirsy and others at Pass Aboretum, Syracuse (noon to 7 p.m.)
  • Utica Music and Arts Fest at various venues in downtown Utica
  • Dark Hollow, Donna the Buffalo, Soul Risin', Master Thieves, and the Salt City Ramblers at Ski Caz Jam Cazenovia Ski Club, Cazenovia - 2 to 11 p.m.
  • 3rd Annual Last Daze of Summer Festival with Hot Day At The Zoo, U-Melt, The Breakfast, MAAZE, Interstellar Funkateers, Lucid, The Found, The Townies, Dutch Bucket System and Tim Palmieri  at Sterling Stage Kampitheater, Sterling
  • 64th Annual Jordan Fall Festival with The Flyin’ Column and the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Eagles on Beaver Street Stage, Jordan (4 to 9 p.m.)
  • Fritz's Polka Band at Salmon River Festival - 9:45 a.m. and later at Federweisser Festival at Anthony Road Wine Company (1 p.m)

  • 3rd Annual Sacred Heart Parish Family Picnic & Pig Roast with Anne Adessa, Robin Munn & Sue Alexander at Owasco Fire Department Pavilion, Auburn (3:30 p.m.)
  • High School Marching Band Competition with Auburn Vanguard, Phoenix Firebirds, Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars and others at Cicero North Syracuse High School, Syracuse (7 p.m.)

  • Musical Homage to Theodore Roosevelt at Smith Opera House (82 Seneca St., Geneva). Starts at 7:30 p.m., general admission $15.
  • Merrill Amos at the Red House (201 S. West St.) - 8 p.m., admission $5.
  • Colleen Kattau and Some Guys at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Road, Manlius) - 8 p.m., admission $10.
