Monday: July 4: Music and fireworks tonight

The Fourth of July would not be complete without the symphony and fireworks at the fairgrounds. Happily, members of the former Syracuse Symphony have formed a new orchestra, Symphony Syracuse, and will be performing at 8 p.m. on the grounds of the New York State Fair. Fireworks will follow. Admission is free.

  • Cross Creek Band Reunion with the Fab Cats, Route 66 and John Cadley and the Lost Boys at Lakeland Park (Forman and Albany streets, Cazenovia), 4 p.m. – Free admission.
  • Letizia and the Z Band plus fireworks at the Village of Manlius Amphitheater (1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius) 7 p.m. – Free admission.
  • Liverpool Community Orchestra at Johnson Park (corner of Route 57 and Vine Street, Liverpool), 7 p.m. – Free admission.
  • Prison City Rockers at Owasco Fire Department, Auburn, 2 p.m.
  • Gap Mangione Big Band at Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum, Sodus Point, 2 p.m.
  • k.d. lang at Anderson Center For The Performing Arts, SUNY Binghamton.
  • Beadle Brothers at Pfohl’s Beachouse (301 Park Ave., Sylvan Beach), 3 p.m.
  • Michael Crissan at the Retreat (302 Vine St., Liverpool), 7 p.m.
  • Sean Patrick Taylor at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que (246 W. Willow St.).
Fireworks

  • Syracuse/Alliance Bank Stadium, 1 Tex Simone Drive, after Chiefs game
  • Auburn: Falcon Park, 108 N. Division St., Auburn (After Auburn Doubledays baseball game)
  • Cazenovia: Lakeland Park, Albany St., 9 p.m.
  • Elbridge: Rolling Wheels Raceway, Route 5
  • Hamilton, Colgate University: Taylor Lake, dusk
  • Manlius: Village Centre, 1 Arkie Albanese Ave., dusk
  • Old Forge: Old Forge Pond, after concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sylvan Beach: Main Street, dusk
