Wednesday, July 28: A variety of outdoor concerts in and around the 'Cuse



Unfortunately, tonight's Wednesdays on the Water concert has been canceled, but there are still plenty of great live music events going on tonight in and around the 'Cuse.  Here's what's going on:

  • Mickey Vendetti and the Good Time Band performs at Lonergan Park (Brewerton Road, North Syracuse). The free concert starts at 6 p.m.
  • Nick Mulpagano will be in East Syracuse at Ellis Field Park (500 McCool Ave.) for a free concert starting at 6;30 p.m.
  • Mark Zane and Friends perform as part of the Village of Manlius Summer Concert Series at the Village of Manlius Amphitheater (1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius). The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
  • Letizia and the Z Band at Geottel Park, Central Square at 7 p.m.
  • Jonathan Dinkin and Klezmercuse are featured tonight at Johnson Park in Liverpool as part of the Liverpool is the Place concert series. Music starts at 7 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
  • White Picket Fence at Sparks Art Studio (1005 E. Fayette St.), 5:30 p.m.
  • Tiffany Summer Concert Series with Festive Music at Willard Memorial Chapel, Auburn (noon).
  • Auburn Civic Band “Celebrates 100 Years” concert at Bluefield Manor, Auburn (7 p.m.)
  • Quick Change at Market Street Park, Auburn (6 p.m.)
  • Chris Taylor and the Custom Taylor Band at the Gazebo in Sylvan Beach (808 Marina Drive, Sylvan Beach), 7 p.m.

At the clubs
  • Big Kahuna’s Raw Bar 17 Columbus St., Auburn) - Electric Moonpies, 7 p.m.
  • Castaways (916 Route 37, Brewerton) – Tommy Barr, 7 p.m.
  • Dinosaur Bar-B-Que (246 W. Willow St.) – Black Earth Band, 9:30 p.m.
  • LaFayette Inn (Route 11, LaFayette) - String of Pearls, 6 p.m.
  • Mac’s Bad Art Bar (1799 Brewerton Road, Mattydale) – Rocky Horror Picture Show , 9:30 p.m.
  • Meghan MacMurphy's (7990 Oswego Rd., Liverpool) - Party On The Patio with
  • Morgan’s of Syracuse (329 Fay Rd.) – Paul Taylor, 7 p.m.
  • Quaker Steak and Lube (3535 Walter St., Syracuse) – 50/50, 5 p.m.
  • Red Roosters Pub (4618 Jordan Rd., Skaneateles) – Johnny Rage, 9 p.m.
  • The Retreat (302 Vine St., Liverpool) – Ryan Burdick, 7 p.m.
  • River Rock Bar and Grill (8 Bridge St., Phoenix) - Just Joe, 8 p.m.
  • ShamRocks Rock & Roll Irish Pub (109 E. Taft Road, North Syracuse) - Tony Marsala and Corey Paige, 9 p.m.
  • Sheraton University Inn (801 University Ave.) – Gary Frenay and Arty Lenin, 5 p.m.
  • Shifty’s (1401 Burnet Ave.) – Open Mike with Mark Gibson and Mike Ranger, 9 p.m.
  • Woody’s Jerkwater Pub (2811 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale) – Dave Hawthorn, 6 p.m.
