Sunday, Oct. 9: Rock 4 Wishes at the Westcott

Area bands will gather today for Rock 4 Wishes, a benefit for the Make a Wish Foundation, at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.). Doors open at 2 p.m. and music starts at 3 p.m.

  • Symphony Syracuse featuring violinist Elmar Oliveira at the Mulroy Civic Center’s Crouse- Hinds Concert Theater (411 Montgomery St.), 2 p.m -  $15, $25, $50 for adults, $10 for students with ID. 
  • Schola Cantorum of Syracuse at Crouse College’s Setnor Auditorium on the Syracuse University campus, 7 p.m. - $15 adults, $10 seniors and students.
    Old-Time Music Jam at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Road, Manlius), 1 p.m. - $5 donation.
    Syracuse Opera Preview at Barnes and Noble Bookstore (3454 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt), 1 p.m. - Free admission.
    Black Dahlia Murder, Redfield, Cannibal Corpse and All Shall Perish at Lost Horizon (5863 Thompson Road, DeWitt), 6 p.m. - $14.99. 446-5534.
