Sunday, May 23: Wide variety of music in and around the 'Cuse

If you're looking for something to do this Sunday, you're in luck. There are a number of unique events in and around the 'Cuse, and many of them are free of charge. Here's what's going on:
  • A variety of area guitarists perform music from their areas of specialty at Solvay Public Library (615 Woods St., Solvay). The concert starts at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
  • Albanian pianist Ida Tribicka performs songs from her homeland as part of the Joyful Noise Concert Series for the Community. The concert takes place at Liverpool First United Methodist Church (604 Oswego St., Liverpool) starting at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
  • The weekly Old-Time Music Jam kicks off at 1 p.m. at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Rd., Manlius). A $2 donation is suggested.
  • The Highland Winds ensemble is at the Onondaga Free Library (4840 W. Seneca Turnpike) for a 2 p.m. show. There is no admission charge.
  • Soprano Jean Danton performs as part of the Sunday Afternoon Serenade Series at the Fairmount Community Church (4801 W. Genesee St.). The concert starts at 3 p.m. and a $10 donated is suggested.
  • Sesame Street’s Greatest Hits featuring Roscoe Orman starts at 1 p.m. at Auburn Public Theater (108 Genesee St., Auburn).
  • The Jubilation Women’s Vocal Ensemble performs a program entitiled "Scenes From My Mother's House" at 3:30 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church (17 Broad St., Hamilton). Admission is $8.

  • Al’s Wine and Whiskey Lounge (321 S. Clinton St.) – E.S.P, 9 p.m.
  • Big Kahuna’s Raw Bar and Grill (17 Columbus St., Auburn) – Over The Top, 5 p.m.
  • Cedar House Lanes (813 W. Genesee St., Skaneateles) – The Boogiemen, 5 p.m.
  • Cortland County Music Park (Route 13, Cortland) – Doc Weismore and the Ridge Road Ramblers, 2 p.m.
  • Empire Brewing Company (120 Walton St.) – Andy and Chris, 12:30 p.m.
  • Harpoon Eddie’s (611 Park Ave., Sylvan Beach) - Los Blancos, 2 p.m.
  • Moondance Tavern (2512 Route 20, Marcellus) – Joanne Perry and Friends, 5 p.m.
  • Old Boathouse (1397 Route 49, Constantia) - T.J. Sacco and Hank, 4 p.m.
  • Paradise Market (3179 Erie Blvd. E.) – Ryan Burdick, 1 p.m., Donna Colton and One Troublemaker, 7 p.m.
  • Red Rooster Pub (4618 Jordan Rd., Skaneateles Falls) – Sarah Horner and Greg Carroll, 4 p.m.
  • Rooter’s Tavern (4141 S. Salina Street) – Shakedown Blues, 9 p.m.
  • Sherwood Inn (26 W. Genesee St., Skaneateles) – Gary Frenay and Arty Lenin, 4 p.m.
  • Shifty’s (1401 Burnet Ave.) – Jamie Notarthomas, 7 p.m.
  • Swifty’s (45 Perrine St., Auburn) - Tuff Luck, 6 p.m.
