Sunday, July 4: Music and Fireworks at the State Fairgrounds and more

The Spirit of Syracuse will perform with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in a spectacular Fourth of July celebration at the New York State Fairgrounds. The free concert, which also features the SSO Pops Chorus, and Five to Life, starts at 6 p.m. with the SSO performing at 8 p.m. Fireworks (sponsored by Cooper Crouse-Hinds) will follow the concert.

• Festival Ameribeat continues at Sterling Stage Kampitheater, Sterling.
• The 19th Annual Great Blue Heron Music Festival featuring Donna The Buffalo, Burke and Bone, Jim Donovan and Drum The Ecstatic, Sim Redmond Band, Big Leg Emma, Tiger Maple String Band, Babik, Jsan and The Analogue Sons, Keith Secola and Band Of indians, Smackdab, Slo-Mo, Chad Crumm and Friends, Amanda Barton, King Rail, First Earth, Rising Son and The Gunpoets, The Hindu Cowboys and more takes place in Sherman at Walters Corners Road. Music starts at noon.
• Fireworks Night with the Auburn Doubledays at Falcon Park, Auburn.
• Fair Haven Field Days” with Mike Sims and Stan Prez  from 1 to 5 p.m. at Downtown Park, Fair Haven.
• The weekly Old-Time Music Jam kicks off at 1 p.m. at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Rd., Manlius). A $2 donation is suggested.
• Fiddlesticks performs at the North American Fiddlers' Hall of Fame (1121 Comins Rd., Osceola) from 2 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
• The CrossCreek Band reunion with the FabCats and Route 66 are all at Lakeland Park (Forman St., Cazenovia) as part of the Fourth of July celebration. Music starts at 4 p.m. and fireworks follow the concert. Admission is free.
