Leftover crawfish for sale

Jim Commentucci / The Post-Standard

The weather was downright nasty Saturday, but that didn't stop people from turning out for the 3rd annual Crawfest Festival at Syracuse's Inner Harbor. Unfortunately, due to strong winds, driving rain, and colder than normal temperatures, organizers had to cut the event short. As a result, organizers were left with 800 pounds of leftover crawfish, which are being sold to the public for $3 a pound.

Proceeds from the event, including the sale of the leftover crawfish, will benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina and the recent Gulf Coast oil spill.
