Sunday, Nov. 7: Steven Page at the Westcott and much more

Page OneFormer Barenaked Ladies frontman, Steven Page, is at the Westcott Theatre tonight, celebrating the release of his debut solo album, Page One. Kate Miller-Heidke opens the show, which starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door.

The Rods headline tonight's Metal ’Cuse at the Fusion Room (3705 Brewerton Rd., North Syracuse). The musical event benefits the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Also featured: Cosmic Sea, Stone Albatross, Zadoc and the Nightmare, Caustic Method, Voodoo Terror Tribe, and Titanium Black. Doors open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. Admission is $9.95.

  • Percussionist Zakir Hussain and sitar master Niladri Kumar perform together at SUNY Oswego’s Waterman Theatre (Tyler Hall). The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
  • Accordionist Jimmy Compoli performs with singers Jerry Toti and Jerry Koczik and the Sgro Brothers at 2 p.m. at Smith Opera House (82 Seneca St., Geneva). Tickets are $27.50.
  • Songwriter Johnny Mercer is honored tonight with a performance of his music by Cindy Miller and Alan Jones at the Center for the Arts (72 S. Main St., Homer). The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
  • It’s open mike night at Kellish Hill Farms (3192 Pompey Center Rd., Manlius). Music from 7 to 10 p.m. A $2 donation is requested.
