Sylvan Beach area restaurants offer up samples of their finest menu items at today's Taste of Sylvan-Verona Beach event at American Legion (703 Clifford Ave., Sylvan Beach). Area musicians, including Moss Back Mule Band, Reckless Drivin’, Bernie Clarke and the Rhythm Sharks, Johnson and Company perform. The event runs from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is $5. Proceeds benefit American Legion baseball. Also today
