January Jam Fest: A Benefit Concert Fundraiser for Jazz Central gets underway at 1 p.m. at the Palace Theater (2384 James St.). Bands include Commander Cody, Professor Louie and The Crowmatix, Los Blancos, Todd Hobin and Doug Moncrief, Joe Whiting, Isreal Hagan, The Mojo Band featuring Mark Hoffmann, Andrew Carroll Trio, The Jazz Police with Jeff Stockham and more. Tickets are $20 at the door.
