Saturday, Oct. 23: Lots of live music in and around the 'Cuse
There’s a whole lot going on in and around the ‘Cuse today. Here’s a listing of some of today’s best bets.
- Mickey Vendetti Band celebrate 50 years together tonight at Le Moyne Manor (629 Old Liverpool Rd., Liverpool). Timeline opens the show, which starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.
- The Coachmen along with Elizabeth Fern, Moe Harrington and Brad Ozinsky perform as part of the Cruizin’ with The Coachmen Dance Party at 7:30 p.m. to benefit Franciscan Northside Ministries. The event takes place at the Franciscan Center (2500 Grant Blvd.) and admission is $25.
- Alan Taylor and the Two Feet Short Band perform at 7 p.m. at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Rd., Manlius). Admission is $10.
- The Syracuse Children’s Chorus and Schola Cantorum perform the “Fall Festival of Choirs” to benefit breast cancer research. St. David’s Episcopal Church Choir, Syracuse Chorale and the Westhill High School Concert Choir will also participate. The concert takes place at Most Holy Rosary Church (111 Roberts Ave.). Admission is $18 for adults and 416 for children 16 and under.
- The Central New York Jazz Orchestra offers a tribute to Woody Herman featuring Frank Tiberi. The show takes place at 8 p.m. at the Mulroy Civic Center’s Carrier Theater (411 Montgomery St.). Tickets are $19.50, $24.50, and $27.50.
- John Sinclair and Hollow Bones, Paul Crowther and the American Pop Culture Suicide Bombers perform at The Other Side (2011 Genesee St., Utica) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15.
- The Guise is at the United Church of Fayetteville’s Steeple Coffeehouse (310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville) for a 7:30 p.m. show. A $10 donation is suggested.
- The annual Buzzard’s Ball takes place at Half Penny Pub (321 W. Fayette St.) at 9 p.m. Music provided by Creepjoint, Grisly Fiction, Undergang and The Human,Lee Brown Coye, Richard Williams and Mike Cody.
- Mark Doyle and the Maniacs at the Redhouse (201 S. West St.) at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.
