Concert dates announced for CNY Jazz Central

 

CNY Jazz Central director, Larry Luttinger, has announced the 2010-2011 schedule of music events.

Here are the dates and special events for the season:

• Oct. 3: Fundraiser featuring Bob Brown and the Salt City Center for the Performing Arts company in a Broadway cabaret at Jazz Central (441 E. Washington St.)
• Oct. 23: Tribute to Woody Herman featuring Frank Tiberi on clarinet at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center’s Carrier Theater.
• Feb. 13: Black History Month cabaret featuring vocalist Antoinette Montague f Black History Month Cabaret at the Sheraton University Hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
  
• March 19: "Pictures at an Exhibition" featuring composer and artist Charles Pillow at the at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center’s Carrier Theater.
  
• April 16: “Conflict: Peace and War” featuring guest saxophonist and flutist David Liebman at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center’s Carrier Theater.
