Friday, Nov. 25: Holiday festivities in downtown Syracuse

The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place tonight in Syracuse's Clinton Square. The event includes performances byu the Chittenango High School choir, the Spirit of Syracuse, and the Syracuse Brigadiers Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps. The tree will be lit at 8 p.m.

Here's a rundown of events:

11 a.m. to 10 p.m.: Free ice skating (weather permitting)
8 p.m.: How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Landmark Theatre (362 S. Salina St.) - Free admission
