Sunday, Nov. 11: Be A Hero For A Hero benefit and more

Area musicians will gather today as part of the 'Be A Hero For A Hero' benefit for Kyle Francis, a former Marine from Clay who has recently been diagnosed with ALS. The event, which will take place that the Maplewood Inn (400 7th North St., Salina), runs from 1 to 6 p.m. 

Performers include Terry Quill (1 p.m.), the Fab 570 (2 p.m.), and Timeline (4 p.m.). Admission is $15 (kids under 12 free).

  • Tea Leaf Green at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.), 8 p.m. - $17.
  • Old-Time Music Jam. at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Road, Manlius), 1 p.m. (potluck supper at 5 p.m.) - $5  suggested donation.
  • Syracuse University Oratorio Society at Crouse College’s Setnor Auditorium, SU campus, 2:30 p.m. - Free admission.
  • Baroque Chamber Orchestra Concert at St. James Church (155 Main St., Johnson City), 3 pm. - Donations accepted.
  • Ron Joseph’s 52nd Street Jazz Band presented by the Jazz Appreciation Society of Syracuse at Pensabene’s Casa Grande (135 State Fair Blvd.), 4 p.m. - $12.
  • Ensemble Nordlys at Crouse College’s Setnor Auditorium, SU campus, 8 p.m. - free admission.

  • Bonecasters Blues Band at Amber Inn (2424 Otisco Valley Road, Marietta), 9 p.m.
  • Country Castaways at Castaways (916 County Route 37, Brewerton), 2 p.m.

  • Just Joe at Shifty’s (1401 Burnet Ave.), 7 p.m.
  • Kitchen Party at Coleman’s Authentic Irish Pub (100 S. Lowell Ave.), 4 p.m.
  • Lisa Lee Trio at UNC (125 Washington St., Auburn), 6 p.m.
  • Los Blancos at Empire Brewing Company (120 Walton St.), 12:30 p.m.
  • Open Mike with Johnny Rage Band at Bridge Street Tavern (109 Bridge St., Solvay), 7:30 p.m.
