Saturday, Nov. 24: The Last Waltz at the Palace

Some of the best musicians in Syracuse will join together tonight to present 'Syracuse's Last Waltz,' a tribute to The Band's whose final concert was immortalized in the movie 'The Last Waltz.'  The event, originally scheduled for the Westcott Theater, will take place at the Palace Theatre (2384 James St.).

The show features members of Los Blancos (Colin Aberdeen, Steven T. Winston, Mark Nanni and Mark Tiffault) as The Band. Also performing are: Scott Ebner, Gary Frenay, Jason Barady, Kim Monroe and Chris Eves, Donna Colton, Rex Lyons, Tim Herron, Arty Lenin, Pete McMahon, Jess Novak, Dugan Henhawk, Ed Zacholl, Michael P. Ryan, Joe Whiting, Mark Hoffman and Carolyn Kelly.

Tickets are $25 at the door with proceeds to benefit people affected by Superstorm Sandy and the Westcott Community Center. Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item will get a coupon for a free beer from Empire Brewing.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show will start at 9 p.m.
