Sunday, August 5: Bluegrass Ramble Picnic in Preble today

Bill Knowlton's 40th annual Bluegrass Ramble Picnic kicks off at 10 a.m. at Dwyer Memorial Park (Route 281, Little York). The free event features music by Dyer Switch, The Easy Ramblers, Slew Foot, Lake Effect, The Lost Boys and more. The picnic runs through 6 p.m.

  • Cayuga Lake Big Splash at Stewart Park (Stewart Park Road, Ithaca). 11 a.m. - $10 suggested donation.
  • Fiddlin’ Future Youth Concert at the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame and Museum (1121 Comins Road, Osceola), 2 p.m. - Free admission
  • Salt City Sunday featuring Chris Ames Band, Lisa Gentile, Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb, E.S.P. and the DeSantis Orchestra at Johnson Park, Liverpool. 2 p.m. - Free admission
  • Dunes and the Del-Tunes at St. Francis of Assisi’s Italian Festival at St. Francis of Assisi Church (299 Clark St., Auburn), 2 p.m. - Free admission.
  • Canastota Community Band at the Peterboro Hometown Day at Peterboro Area Museum (4608 Peterboro Road, Peterboro), 7 p.m. - Free admission.
