Sunday, August 8: Live music in and around the 'Cuse all day

Relax and enjoy a pleasant Sunday with any one of a wide variety of live music events in Central New York. Here's what's going on:
  • The weekly Old-Time Music Jam at Kellish Hill Farm (3192 Pompey Center Road, Manlius) starts at 1 p.m. A $2 donation is suggested.
  • Evergreen performs at 2 p.m. at the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame and Museum (1121 Comins Road, Osceola). Admission is free.
  • The Civic Morning Musicals present a “Broadway Revue” at Vienna Methodist Church (State Route 49, Vienna) at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
  • The Great Race with Brass Inc. at Emerson Park’s Deauville Island, Auburn (noon)
  • 3rd Annual String Fling Festival at Sterling Stage Kampitheater, Sterling
  • Syracuse Opera at Thornden Park, Syracuse (2:30 p.m.)
  • Spiedie Festival with Matthew West, Joe Nichols and Jars Of Clay at Otsiningo Park, Binghamton (1 p.m.)
  • Brantling Bluegrass Festival with Jessie Alexander Band, Next Best Thing and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage at Brantling Ski Slopes, Sodus
  • Fab Five Paul at Garlic Festival (Fox Run Vineyards, 670 Route 14, Penn Yan)- 11 a.m.
  • Smokin’ Worm at the Sodus Point Fire Station (Greig Street, Sodus Point), 1 p.m.

  • Big Kahuna’s (17 Columbus St., Auburn) - Kim Fetters and Andy Rudy, 5:30 p.m.
  • Borio’s Restaurant (8891 McDonnells Parkway, Cicero) – Gary Freanay and Arty Lenin, 4 p.m.
  • Bridge Street Tavern (109 Bridge St., Solvay) - Southern Comfort, 1 p.m.
  • Castaways (916 Route 37, Brewerton) - Country Castaways with George Leija, 2 p.m.; Jamie Notarthomas, 3 p.m.

  • Moondance Tavern (2512 Route 20, Marcellus) - Headin’ South, 5 p.m.
  • The Old Boathouse (1397 Route 49, Constantia) - Brian McArdell and Mark Westers, 4 p.m.
  • O’Malley’s Cabin on the Lake (7938 Route 153, Interlaken) - Mark Macri, 2 p.m.
  • Pfohl’s Beachouse (301 Park Ave., Sylvan Beach – Phil Petroff and the Natural Fact, 3 p.m.
  • Shifty’s (1401 Burnet Ave.) – Better Than Bowling, 7 p.m.
  • State Street Café (73 State St., Phoenix) - East of Earth, 4 p.m.
