Saturday, April 24: Gretchen Parlato at the Palace and more

Jazz singer Gretchen Parlato performs at the Palace Theater (2384 James St.) the concert starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $15. 

Also tonight

  • Earth Crisis, First Blood, Thick as Blood, and Ghostship are at the Westcott Theater (524 Westcott St.). The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 at the door.
  • The CNY Jazz Orchestra will offer a clinic starting at 3 p.m. at the Carrier Theater (411 Montgomery St.). The orchestra will also perform at 8 p.m. Also on Saturday’s bill, the Legends of Upstate New York II program. The clinic is free. Tickets for the concert ar $19.50 - $27.50.
  • Philadelphia’s Mandala is at Erwin First United Methodist Church (920 Euclid Ave.) for a 7 p.m. show. Admission is free but a donation will be appreciated.
  • Musicians from Grace Episcopal church perform a concert in memory of Gail Tyler featuring the works of Mendelssohn and Wild. The concert takes place at 7 p.m. at the church (819 Madisoin St.). Admission is $10.
  • The Tired Hands String Band is at the Steeple Coffeehouse (310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville) for a 7:30 p.m. concert. Admission is $7 and includes dessert and a beverage.
  • Apples in Stereo is in Ithaca tonight at the Castaways (413 Taughannock Blvd.). The show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is $15 at the door.
  • Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks are at the Center for the Arts (72 S. Main St., Homer). The show starts at 8 p.m. General admission is $25, seniors $20, students $10.
  • Dusty Pas’cal and Loren Barrigar, Joe Driscoll, and Mikey Powell pool their considerable talent at the Auburn Public Theater (108 Genesee St., Auburn). The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.
  • Harpist Patrick Ball performs at Ontario Center for Performing Art ( McCrobie Civic Center, 41 Lake St., Oswego) at 8 p.m. General admission is $14.
